Ankur R. Gosalia MD

Ankur R. Gosalia MDAnkur R. Gosalia MD is a board-certified anesthesiologist with ACGME fellowship training in Interventional Pain Medicine. Dr. Gosalia was trained by the top experts in the field of pain medicine in the Pittsburgh region and continues to teach and lecture nationally to other physicians. He is a compassionate physician who works daily to help his patients rediscover the life they had before developing chronic pain.

Ankur was originally born in the Washington DC area. He completed his undergraduate training at Lehigh University where he double majored in Biology and Mathematics, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Following his undergraduate years, Dr. Gosalia pursued his medical education at MCP Hahnemann University (Drexel) School of Medicine, and was awarded the Physician’s Society award upon graduation. His surgical internship was completed in General Surgery at George Washington University Medical Center. He then completed an Anesthesiology residency at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, where he served as Chief Resident.

After residency Dr. Gosalia practiced Cardiac Anesthesia for six years, while serving as an Assistant Professor for Temple University School of Medicine and Drexel University College of Medicine. He was awarded Educator of the Year for the Western Pennsylvania Hospital Department of Anesthesia for five consecutive years.

Dr. Gosalia then went on to further his medical training, subspecializing in Interventional Pain Medicine at the West Penn Allegheny Health System. He is educated and experienced in all aspects of pain management, but has specialized expertise in advanced interventional pain medicine techniques. With his knowledge and the use of advanced medicine, he has been able to help many patients who had little hope of a functional life.
